We’re Giving Away 10 Narcissu Anthology Season Passes!

Hey everyone, we have some super exciting news today. As you could guess from the title, we are having a Narcissu Anthology season pass giveaway! For those unaware, we of Beneath the Tangles (well, at least Japes and I) are big fans of Narcissu for its respectful inclusion of Christian faith in its stories that present characters who are forced to face death in the form of terminal illnesses. Although Narcissu 1 and Side 2nd were available for free already, the rest of the stories were left untranslated. Last year, Sekai Project announced the Narcissu 10th Anniversary Project, localizing the rest of the games as well as a brand new one. The translation process is actually still ongoing, and today, Narcissu: Zero is released to the public. As such, we are announcing a giveaway of 10—yes, that’s right 10—Steam keys which we have kindly received from Aginyan of Sekai Project. These season pass keys will give you access to read the 3 currently released games as well as the 4th one after it is officially released.

So how does it work? Just retweet our tweet about this giveaway and leave a comment on this page about why you want to win a copy of the Narcissu series including your Twitter handle so we can confirm you have retweeted (content of the comments will not affect your chances of winning unless we deem the comment offensive or off topic). Those who do not answer the question are not eligible, so be sure to leave a comment! The giveaway will end next Friday, August 19th, at 11:59 PM PDT, and the winners will be announced later that weekend. So if you’re at all interested in a free Narcissu season pass, let us know why in the comments below and retweet! We’ll see the lucky winners at the 7th floor (okay maybe that’s not a good idea).

  19. I’d like to win because I’ve only played a handful on Steam (those being free versions, and rather short ones at that). None of which had any sort of Christian themes that I noticed, so this one should be both intriguing and having a good message. My Twitter handle is @Roboyed btw :).

  20. Hello! I have yet to play these games, but after planetarian, I’ve really enjoyed visual novels, especially ones where God can be seen in them. Currently, I’ve been in a spiritual rut, feeling like I haven’t really been focused on my relationship with God. I don’t mean to say that I’ll turn away from him; He is the only Lord I will keep in my life, but it helps me to focus back on him when I have a refreshed perspective on life, and it seems like this series will give me that perspective.   22. I’ve never actually seen any anime adaptations from Key or read their visual novels, so getting Narcissu would be a great opportunity to expand my Christian diet! The Christian parallels between the Gospel and the piece of media have peaked my interest as well!

  26. Narcissu was the first VN I ever read so I want to read the others in the series! It’s very well written, and I like how it portrays Catholicism (for a Japanese work). In fact, it talks about confession (in Himeko’s Epilogue) more than my pastor does!

I would like to receive a season pass because I greatly enjoyed Narcissu 1st and 2nd, but as a 17 year old still living with his parents, I don’t have the money to get a season pass myself (though I did manage to get the game for $3 for Himeko’s Epilogue using the community market). I also tend to meet people who describe their own lives as misfortunate (I guess I’m a misfortune magnet, or something), so I find myself greatly interested in the Narcissu series, a series about misfortunate people who are able to find peace of mind.
