I guess you’ll just have to listen in and find out!

And please play along in the comments below! We’d love to hear your answers as well!

  1. My answers were the same as Casey’s, for the same reasons, more or less. Too bad for Bleach, as I also did like the first opening theme; I didn’t watch much of it, but also from what I’ve heard , it became a trainwreck.

    1. Join me, my minion! Together we shall rule the world with our isn’t-even-final-forms! *extends complimentary, celebratory box of Pocky*

One thing I did enjoy about Bleach, despite my overall reservation and displeasure with the anime, was its OPs and EDs. Very catchy, very well-timed, and very attentive to what they wanted to convey. One of these days, I may give the original manga a chance, as I’ve heard it’s superior to the anime counterpart.

      1. Still, from what I’ve read of reviews of the Bleach manga, the ending volumes leave a lot to be desired. Too fast pacing, uninteresting endings to arcs, little setup etc.

        1. I was wondering about that. Certainly, the anime didn’t give me much enthusiasm for the manga, but a few friends had told me the manga was superior. Maybe it is “superior,” but that doesn’t automatically make it good. Might be better than the 3/10 I’d rate the anime, but I suppose that means 4/10 isn’t out-of-the-question, haha.

I know it’s rather lengthy, and I wouldn’t want to dedicate a lot of time to reading something I didn’t enjoy. Perhaps I’ll read the first volume, though, and see if I notice a difference.

  2. Ah, this was a fun episode. I hope we revisit it again in the future (once I have added more individual series to my repertoire). Also gave me an excuse to binge-watch all this anime I haven’t yet seen. Shame on me.

Also, bless you for using a screen of Carnival Phantasm for this episode’s featured image.
