Love is Like a Cocktail (Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara) is a short form (3 minutes each) anime series based on a manga of the same name. The series is about a young married couple, Chisato and Sora Mizusawa. We begin the episode meeting Chisato who just helped out a younger coworker through some difficulty on the job. She then heads home to her husband who prepares her a meal and a cocktail to go with dinner.
The episode is short, but it establishes a few things. Chisato likes to drink, but feels weird doing so around other people. Chisato and Sora feel incredibly comfortable being themselves around each other. Chisato also appears to be the breadwinner, while Sora remains at home and keeps the home.
It’s a cute little episode where not much happens, but we get to see a cute couple interact, be happy, and feel comfortable with each other. You also get a cocktail recipe so the viewer too can make the drink Sora makes for his wife. Overall, it’s cute and I plan to keep watching.
