Happy New Year! This week on the TangleCast, Team FtK (David, Peter, and Holly) talk about their anime highlights from 2018, including some gems that you might have missed (or that Holly dropped…this seems to be a recurring theme), like Hinamatsuri, Goblin Slayer, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. The team also previews anime that they’re looking forward to this year, not only for the winter season but up ahead as well, like The Promised Neverland, Dr. Stone, Isekai Quartet, and Vinland Saga, and new seasons of (or movies for) One Punch Man, Chihayafuru, Kakegurui, Code Geass, Mob Psycho, and Ajin.

What’s the last movie or season?
I’m not sure if this answers your question, Fiona, but the “winter 2019 anime season” just began. Just like the four seasons of the year, there are four seasons of anime each year as well.

Just so you guys know, the latest Pokemon season (Sun & Moon) had episodes that greatly focused on Pokemon death.

Kenneth (FB): Moving to Taiwan to be a missionary teacher. Best thing that has ever happened to me.
Tyler (FB): My highlight of 2018 was my first anime convention at Yamacon and getting to write an article for BTT.
Pocketsize Cosplay (Three-person Insta account, mutuals): going to Disney World!
Half_shade_ (Insta, mutual): going on treks, twice
Snowz_duke (Insta): coming out to my BFF as gay, and coming out to my friends and crush as gay, too
thaumaton (Insta): My sister gave birth to the cutest niece in the world!
kokorodaki (Insta, mutual): personally, o think the biggest thing I’ve taken from 2018 is God showing me my purpose in life (at least maybe for the next ten years or so, I assume) and helped me find direction toward that, and it’s been so refreshing to have something to move towards, instead of just feeling stagnant
Little.pink.witch (Insta, mutual): my highlight was my mom’s birthday in February. 🙂 it was the first time in a long time that our ENTIRE family was together and we had a bonfire outside at night and it was just really super cozy and nice :). Also trying real ramen for the first time!
