Life is good for Sakura—she’s starting junior high, her boyfriend has returned, she continues to keep in touch with her friends, and the clow cards are under control. But in the midst of all this happiness, something is off. Sakura begins having nightmares about a new type of card, clear ones, and a mysterious hooded figure who may or may not be an enemy. What does it all mean?
And Cardcaptor Sakura is finally back. YES! I haven’t read the new arc in the manga, but I have been looking forward to seeing it animated, and episode one was just about perfect. All the characters returned, if even for cameo appearances, and the same old magic was still there—the new season manages to keep the same tone as the original but with little flourishes that modernize it and animation that is top, top notch. Oh, and it looks like we’ll have an interesting story to accompany Sakura’s new key, staff, and incantation—I’m excited to see where this all leads!
