I learned something today: Misato’s car is a Renault Alpine A310—an actual vehicle and not one made up for the Evangelion series. It’s looking in pretty good shape in this lovely painting below (at least much better than it will later in the series). She must have just purchased it. Promotion?
Or maybe this is Misato on her way to look for Shinji (she’s looking for someone, it seems), and we just see the good side of her car.
