Fed by elegant parties on TV and in movies, I grew up believing that the epitome of end-of-year celebrations was a New Year’s Eve soiree, possibly taking place in a New York City penthouse. I’ve never attended a bash quite like that and truth be told, I’m okay never having experienced it. Time spent with a smaller group of friends, like in this Jujutsu Kaisen illustration, or even with family (my usual) has become more than enough for me.
