It’s Turkey Day! Today, American families are gathering for feasts, football, and family. We hope that if that’s the case for you, or even if it’s not, that you’ll consider the very name of the day and count your thanks. We at the Beneath the Tangles are especially grateful for you, dear readers. We love you all and are so thankful that you’re part of our community.

We are thankful for God, for whom this ministry exists, and for many of his gifts as well. In fact, I asked our staff to relay what they’re thankful for this season. Here’s what they had to say!

I’m thankful for such an awesome community like BtT, where I can share my love for anime and manga with like-minded people. I’m also grateful for my family and the care God has shown for us, as well as for the friends he’s blessed me with.

I am thankful for the community God gives us (both online through BTT and the local church) that keeps us from doing life alone. Joy, sorrow, hopes, disappointments, blessings, and setbacks are both sweeter and less bitter when they are able to be shared.

I am grateful for taking a sewing class in high school because I never imagined how many years later I would use those same “skills” to sew up any of my children’s stuffed animals when they’ve gotten holes or rips.

I got married last year, on October 29th, and had my honeymoon in the Holy Land. Since then, it’s been a non-stop time of learning, experiencing new things, trying to find my balance, and rewatching my favorite movies and anime with my wife. And I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
