Silver Wing, the strongest party of adventurers in the world, unsuccessfully battles a dragon. Later, the leader, Vigo, blames the level 99 cook Dennis for the party’s recent failure and fires him from the party. One member, Katie, does try to stop him from leaving, but Dennis has washed his hands of the party and plans to go open a restaurant. He ends up blowing most of his savings on a slave girl he takes pity on. In a lovely moment that many anime protags could learn from, he declares her free. Won over by his cooking, she decides to stick with him, and they go about making preparations to open Dennis’s restaurant. The episode wraps up with their first customer(?) arriving.

Aww! I liked it! Dennis just comes across like a really good, slightly goofy, guy, and I am all on board with seeing more of him. Besides the fact that Dennis is just so charming that I want to keep watching, there’s also a hint of intrigue—a moment where Vigo intimates that his nefarious plans won’t stop with casting out Dennis. There’s no isekai aspect to the story, but the setup so far reminds me of Restaurant to Another World, which I loved, and the comparison further feeds my goodwill toward this show. I have high hopes that this one could prove quite yummy, and definitely recommend giving it a taste.
