Happy Thanksgiving!!
I love Christmas so much, but my favorite single day of the year has always been Thanksgiving. There’s such a feeling of festivity and family to it (and before football was on almost every night of the week, the specialness of sporting events, too). It doesn’t hurt that I love the feast as well!
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also appreciated the idea of “thanks” more and more. As my parents age, I’m thankful to them for all they’ve done in rearing me. I’m thankful most of all to God, who sent Jesus to be our redeemer and save us.
And as I’ve shepherded this ministry for the past 15 years, I’m also thankful to our community—all of you!—and the staff who volunteer their time, sweat, and occasionally, tears, to help BtT run. While we do what we do for God and for the mission of reaching anime fans with the gospel, I admit that the encouragement I get from you all and from my wonderful staff helps me continue with the work we do.
So, happy Thanksgiving, friends! Have a wonderful weekend. And most of all…thank you.
