Happy New Year, friends!
I hope that your 2025 went well, that it was full of blessings and steps forward in your journey of faith. Although failures, pain, and loss can color our feelings about how life is going, I encourage you to remember the goodness, too—the work God is doing in your life, the relationships that grew stronger, the growth you’ve experienced. But even if it’s a struggle to see the blessings, we can still hope. For after all, the Christmas holiday we just celebrated is all about the hope Christ brought to the world, and the new year is a natural time to look forward to the work he’s doing.
As we turn the page on 2025, we’re hopeful, too. This year is our sweet sixteenth, as it were, and that’s exciting for us! I don’t have a theme to share, but I do have a hope: That you’ll continue to join us as we do the work of this ministry:
Beneath the Tangles bridges the divide between anime fans and the Christian church by developing anime-related content and discussing anime and Christianity as expressed through anime, manga, and light novels; ministering to and loving Christian anime fans; and demonstrating faith by modeling Christ through interaction with our readers and followers.
And there’s much to look forward to with Beneath the Tangles in 2026. Besides our ministries continuing to develop and grow—from streaming to social media, articles to small groups—there are new things on the way as well. I’ll tease here that we have an exciting new video project coming. Stay tuned in the coming days as we launch it!
And just as God is working here, I know he’s working in your lives as well, loved ones! He’s doing a great work in you and through you to draw you nearer to him, build you up into who you were made to be, and use you as his hands and feet to share his love. I encourage you to look to him in 2026, and you and us both work to glorify the God above all other gods. He is good and worthy of all our praise.
