Hatsune Miku is stylish, cute, bubbly, musical, epic, fun…but on rare occasions, too, she’s depicted with a darker edge by musicians and artists. I love this take on her below, where, well…I’ll let you interpret what Miku thinks she is (and what she’s trying to do)—it definitely feels like the stuff of a horror film!

Oh wow! Definitely looks like a horror movie posters. I like it! There’s something so cool about the cute facade with a creepy monster version lurking under the surface picture. And the hyper close up of the eye with reflection is also really good. When I was getting my fine art degree at university, I specialized in hyper close up paintings. There’s just something so intense and thought provoking about seeing something much bigger and in greater detail than the human eye would usually see.
