First Impressions: Bananya and the Curious Bunch

Bananya and the Curious Bunch is a sequel series to the 2016 short-form series Bananya. The original series, for those who do not know, is a documentary style short about the everyday lives of small cats that live inside bananas. They go on adventures in a normal house over the course of a few minutes of air time. That’s the whole show. Bananya and the Curious Bunch tracks back to the origins of the banana cats. It begins on a whole cat-themed planet near Earth and introduces us to a bunch of banana cats who are curious about the world around them. And, end scene.

That is the entire first episode. If it’s anything like the original, The Curious Bunch will continue to be silly, family friendly, and easily one of my favorites of all time. I am already excited to introduce my children to all the new banana kitties they will get to see. If you like cute shows that will take up less than 5 minutes of your time a week, then this series is for you. Personally, this is already one of my must watches for the Fall 2019 season!

Bananya and the Curious Bunch is streaming on Crunchyroll.
