It’s time for our very first Beneath the Tangles art contest! We are so excited to ask you to enter and share your creations with us and the world. The subject? Our own sometimes adorable, sometimes fierce, mascot, BtT-chan!
That’s right! We’re teaming up with partner and friend Arthur Thurmond to roll our character (see full images below) out in a greater capacity, and this contest is the first big part of it! Draw your own version of her by midnight ET on May 24th, post it on Mastodon, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Tumblr, and tag your post with the hashtag, #BtTChanChallenge. Discord participants can post on the special temporary channel we’ll set up.
The grand prize winner will receive a $100 Crunchyroll gift card (or of equivalent USD value to an anime/manga store local to the winner) and the “Spirit of BtT” prize winner, going to the work that best represents Beneath the Tangles, will get one worth $40.
Here are the other contest rules:
- You must be following us on the platform on which you post your entry (and if entering on Twitter or Instagram, following Arthur there, too)
- Keep it “clean”—no sexual, bloody, or violent entries, please!
- Entries must be posted by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 24th
- Hashtag your post “#BtTChanChallenge”
- International entries are welcome
- BtT staff are not eligible
