With more than 100 productions to her credit, Anastasia Muñoz may be one of the most prolific voice actors in anime, having built an impressive resume over 15+ years that includes memorable roles in series such as Fruits Basket, Death Parade, Strike Witches, Jormungand, and, more recently, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, where she voices the powerful elven mage Serie.
But one of the goals of Something Genuine is to move beyond credits and accomplishments and discover the people behind the work. And in Anastasia’s case, there was much more to uncover.
During our conversation, Anastasia shares her life not only as a voice actress, but also as a wife, mother, theater educator, fine arts department head, and founder of Arts Mission Oak Cliff, a nonprofit creative space dedicated to supporting artists and fostering community.
What emerged was a fascinating discussion about creativity itself.
