We’re continuing the three-part finale of Something Genuine Season 2 with a conversation about Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3!

As part of a Crunchyroll press junket, I had the chance to speak with Madeleine Morris, the voice of Rudeus Greyrat, about the second season, Rudeus’s complicated journey, and what it’s like to portray such a divisive character.

We also talk about what makes Mushoku Tensei so deeply human, the way its characters grow and regress, and how stories can challenge us to think about our own reactions and experiences.

It’s a short conversation, but there’s some good stuff here—including Madeleine’s thoughts on Rudeus’s humanity, the unique challenge of voicing him as he grows older, and the difficult conversations the series can prompt.
