Reiner is so very confused. At one point in episode 34, after joining with his partner, Bertholdt, to kidnap Ymir and Eren, he complains about how he needs a break and promotion from the military. The problem is that Reiner isn’t a soldier; he’s the enemy, but he’s lived as a soldier for so long… Read More Attack on Titan, Episode 34: Who is the Enemy?
Attack on Titan has been moving at a breakneck pace this season – it’s been quite a thrill ride. And it’s been much better than I thought it was going to be (though perhaps, as I mentioned on Tumblr, this is because I’ve kind of forgot how the story unfolded in the manga). This… Read More Attack on Titan, Episode 33: The Danger of Community
A number of of us on Beneath the Tangles have a passion for fan art, those wonderful pieces that fans like you and me (but with amazing talent and honed skill) create. SPOILERS ahead! It’s good timing, though, because Reiner… Read More Attack on Titan Episode 31: Who We Really Are

I’m an alum of the university and I’m… Read More When Mikasa and I Fall Apart
I’m a grade-A liar. Or at least I used to be. My friends would tell me it was scary how well I could cheat, lie, and deceive. But even worse than the falsehoods I would speak was the one I was living. I put up the facade of a knowledgeable, virtuous, and kind person, though… Read More From Christa to Historia: Take Your Name
