Opinions are fairly divided on this show, but I personally enjoyed Celestial Method (a.k.a. Sora no Method) a lot. And since the show did get some regular coverage before TWWK could no longer cover the show, I thought I would go ahead and close up the show with a look at its final arc. As it turns… Read More Celestial Method: The End and a New Beginning
Whenever one anime season ends and another begins, I try to use that time to finish series on which I’ve fallen behind. This season, that meant Celestial Method and Unlimited Blade Works. I could have predicted what followed, though: I’ve staved off FSN, since I have a few months until the next cour, and I… Read More Celestial Method, 5 cm/s, and Middle Acts
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Kaze – 8/10 As a surprise to probably no one, Unlimited Blade Works has proved to be one of the best shows of the fall season. Celestial Method (Sora no Method) has a lot going for it – cute characters, emotional storylines, and a nice OP and ED (speaking of which, see and hear our own Japes sax up the show’s end theme). Shione’s development in… Read More Celestial Method, Episode 8: You Go First
Then why are you here, Nonoka? – Koharu (episode seven) Seven episodes into Celestial Method (Sora no Method), and the relationships between the group of old friends is almost wholly repaired. The way the show was going, I thought that in this episode we might see Shione become the latest to break down and succumb… Read More Celestial Method Episode 7: Take the Step
As Celestial Method (Sora no Method) continues, it seems more and more obvious that for, at least the first half, the cast of characters are going to find redemption through Nonoka’s kindness. In episode six, we get the conclusion of Yuzuki’s redemptive tale after her sudden conversion, to use religious terminology, in episode five. Now… Read More Celestial Method Episode 6: A Slap for a Slap
