Loving God and Loving the Otaku Community Through COVID-19

Good morning!

If you’re like me, I’m sure you all have been inundated by updates from various organizations through this time of pandemic. I don’t want to add to the pile, but I feel it necessary to let our readers know that we’re here for you during this time. After all, part of our very mission is to bridge the gap between anime fans and the Christian church by supporting and loving Christian anime fans, and demonstrating faith through interaction with our readers. We want to continue to do that during this time.

That said, we hope to continue to deliver thought-provoking pieces in the coming weeks and months that point you toward Christ as we seek to raise disciples. We’ll also continue to be available to talk with you, whether here on the blog or through our more chat-centric platforms like Instagram or Twitter. We are certainly always here to pray for you as well—I almost added that we would do so “at a minimum,” but when conducted properly and authentically, prayer moves God and it moves us as well, and there’s nothing small about that. We have prayer groups on all our social media platforms, and encourage you to join if you’re in need of prayer and would like to pray for us. Just send a message to any of our accounts and we’ll get you added.

But we also hope to bring some levity to your lives. Anime can be deep, sure, but it’s also entertainment. Toward that end, we’ll continue to develop pieces that are just plain fun as well, like our Anime March Madness tournament and first impression posts that are set to land with the upcoming anime season. Our social media administrators are also looking for unique ways to engage you all as we live more in isolation than ever before.

Ultimately, we simply hope to love on you, for as we do so, we’re loving God as well. Let us know how we can help you during this time.

God bless, and be safe out there!
