Haikyuu!! is one of my favorite manga and anime series of all time. The boys from Karasuno are continuing their trek in the national tournament. This episode picks up right where the last cour left off in Spring 2020. Due to the pandemic, this part of the series was delayed until now. So, if you watched Episode 13 you will know that Karasuno were just starting their match against Inarizaki High. Inarizaki came in second place in the previous tournament.
Nerves get to Hinata early on, but the team begins to hit their stride. The episode then ends with Inarizaki pulling off an entirely unexpected move that throws Karasuno into chaos!
Finally seeing these parts of the series animated has been a treat for me, a manga reader. Watching these minus tempo quicks and the pace of the game has been fabulous. Honestly, my face was a stupid child-like grin the entire episode and I am just so happy that these volley bois are back.
A word of warning – this is a continuation of the season that started in the spring. Don’t just jump into this blindly unless you have watched the previous 13 episodes or you may be lost. Maybe, I mean they just started this match so…you may still be good.
Either way, if you liked Haikyuu!! up until now, it’s not going to disappoint with this episode.
