It’s Twwk’s Birthday! Would You Give Him the Gift of Patreon?

Hello, friends!

Today is my birthday! Woo hoo!

As a child, I never thought I’d grow up into an adult who celebrates my birthday in a low-key way. I always assumed that every birthday would be boisterous. Very Haruhi Suzumiya-like. After all, who doesn’t want to celebrate a birthday with cake, friends, and presents?

As I’ve aged, though, I’ve become more like, well, Kyon. A little more to myself.

Cake? Keep your calories. Friends? Great, but I’d rather do something more intimate with family. Presents?

Well, I still like presents.

But no Amazon gift list or anything like that for me. No, if you’d like to make this old man happy today, and more importantly, if you are encouraged by the work we do here—the anime, manga, and light novel analysis and reviews we write; the focus we place on faith as our staff supports Christian anime fans and leads non-Christians to think upon God’s love for them; and the community we develop through prayer groups, small group, Discord, and other avenues—would you consider donating to us through Patreon?

We have five levels of giving, ranging from $1 a month to $25. Please contribute according to your ability and comfort level. The funds go straight into our ministry, helping with our website hosting needs, contributing to campaigns that bring new members into our community, reimbursing staff for their expenses as they create content, and in many more ways. Your donation is a gift to our mission.

So please pray about this, consider becoming a patron, and make me happy today (!) with your pledge. And as you do (and even if you don’t), please pray for us as often as you remember—we need that most of all.

Take care and God bless!

~ Twwk

  1. Yay! Happy Birthday! Yes, I will go to Patreon and donate! Or rather I will try to donate. I’ve never actually donated on Patreon before so there may be some hiccups. But I will try my best!
