I headed to my church’s sunrise service this morning to celebrate Easter. Worshiping as the sun rises emphasizes the hope of this day, the promise that we’re made alive because of that morning some 2,000 years ago when Jesus left the tomb.
I hope you’ll attend a church service today to celebrate the hope we have because of the Resurrection. Even if you aren’t committed to your faith or a Christian at all, I encourage you to try it out. God is extending an invitation, and there’s perhaps no better time to accept it than at Easter.
For those still on the fence, the following video may ignite something in you. This short anime film, made a number of years ago as an evangelistic tool, portrays the events of Jesus’ death and resurrection from the point of view of one of the thieves that hung on the cross next to him. It demonstrates the love that Christ has for us and why we are desperately in need of it.
Jesus’ love is amazing indeed. He is our God, our friend, our great love.
God bless you all and Happy Easter!
