Three Wishes for Twwk’s Birthday!

It’s my birthday! And today I turn…well, don’t ask me my age. But yay nonetheless!

Won’t you come celebrate with me? There’s really nothing I want personally, no purchase on an Amazon gift list or some grand item to complete my collection. What I’d really love is for you to come know us more!

So despite that humble declaration of not wanting much, I’m actually going to wish for three things on this August 2nd. Would you please consider fulfilling these three wishes for me?

Wish 1: Pray for Me

The example of Paul in his letters is of a “super” apostle who has gone through so much victoriously, so you’d think he would be fine leading the way without much support. But he asks for prayer to help him along his mission. I sometimes hesitate to ask for prayer for a variety of reasons, but if Paul asks for it, then how much so should I?

Please pray for the following:

  • That I would lead Beneath the Tangles with humility and wisdom
  • That I would set a good example for our community in my speech and actions
  • That I would be a good father, husband, and employee in my personal life
  • That Beneath the Tangles would always honor God and point to him rather than to anything or anyone else

Your prayers would be very much appreciated. So pray right now for me, if you would! Don’t save it for later—send those prayers up to our Father now, if you would!

Wish 2: Join our Community

If you’ve found this post, you’re obviously already plugged into us somehow. But what about taking it one step further and becoming involved in one of our platforms that encourage a deeper sense of community?

On Discord, we foster the idea of being a group of people who care for each other, who are friends. Under the leadership of caring admins and mods and featuring channels that range from talk about gaming and DnD campaigns to prayer requests and general faith questions, our goal is to be a place that’s safe for our members to share their lives with one another while providing structure that lifts our eyes upward. We also currently have a small group that meets on Sunday evenings and have been joining one another for church streaming in the mornings.

WIsh 3: Donate to the Ministry

I don’t draw a salary as the director of Beneath the Tangles. Neither do our volunteers. Any funds that come into the ministry are poured right back in as we pay for services that keep our site and platforms running, training our volunteers, spread the word about who we are, and donate to other ministries and those in need. As such, we depend on the graciousness of you all to help fund these activities.
