Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is the winner! It defeats Spy x Family for the second year in a row, with 56% of the vote vs. SxF‘s 44%.
Congrats, Frieren! That’s two in a row! The powerful mage and her friends are undefeated in this tournament, going 12-0 during its two years of competition. Will it win again next year? Can it match Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’s four straight years of winning? Will a new anime arise to bring it down?
It’s never too early to think about these things and AniMarch Madness 2026! We’ll certainly have some wrinkles in that competition, like we did for this year’s, so be anticipating it!

Yay, congrats Frieren! I haven’t seen the anime yet, but if it’s so popular it certainly seems like I should bump it up on my To Watch list. Hopefully next year Apothecary Diaries will be more of a contender, but only time will tell.
I thought Apothecary Diaries might dethrone Frieren this year! Maybe it will next year with more episodes under its belt.
