Con season is in full swing! On the back of our coverage of all the madness and fun at Anime Expo 2025, we’re on the road again—this time to Houston, Texas, and Anime Matsuri! It’s a convention we know well, having covered it time and time again, leading to some of our favorite articles, like our interviews with Nobuhiko Okamoto and Beau Billingslea; coverage of musical guests Apink, Mirei, and Dancing Dolls R; and review of an Evangelion exhibition.
This year, though, we’re not attending as press. Instead, I’ve been asked to join our partner in ministry, Tiff of ShortStuffArts (Etsy/YouTube), on her panel, Biblical Themes in Anime. Guys, I am so proud to join her on this panel and to talk about some of what we do best—looking at anime from a Christian perspective!
If you’ll be at the con, please join us on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Panel Room 310. I hope to meet and chat with you there! And remember, Friday mornings are notoriously backed up in registration, so I recommend you pick up your badge on the much lighter Thursday evening times.
And though I won’t be at the con for long, I’ll be taking photos while I’m there! I’ll drop as many good ones as I take throughout Thursday and Friday just below. Enjoy!
