One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about Something Genuine this season is how different each conversation has been.
We’ve talked football, overcoming setbacks, and animation with Mike Golic, Jr. We’ve discussed creativity and mentorship with voice actor Ben Stegmair. We’ve explored cosplay, faith, and family with Ani. And we’ve spent time with musician Hana Hope discussing identity, language, and the stories we tell through song.
Not to chase headlines. Not to promote projects. Not even really to talk only about anime.
I wanted to create space for real conversations.
That’s what brings us back this Thursday.
Part two of season two begins with voice actress Anastasia Muñoz. Anime fans may know her from countless roles—including Serie in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End—but our conversation quickly moves beyond voice acting. We talk about creativity, teaching, parenting, community, and why art matters in a world increasingly shaped by technology.
But I promise, this episode isn’t preachy. It’s just about connecting and, I hope, creating thoughtful conversation for you to chew on.
If you’ve missed any of the first four episodes, now is a great time to catch up before Thursday’s premiere! And if you’ve been watching along, thank you. Every view, comment, share, and conversation has meant more than you probably realize.
Part two starts Thursday. I can’t wait for you to see what’s next!
