Everyone wants to win. Everyone wants to be a hero. That’s why we love anime about heroes who conquer all odds. But what’s left for the good guys to do once they conquer? When all the odds have been even-ed? Are they heroic in the off-hours? Does one eat, drink, and do everything else as… Read More TangleCast 45: What’s More Than A Conqueror?
While most of episode 46’s focus was on the shock value of Attack on Titan that we may have forgotten (though this episode was very heavy on being gross—titan brains and guts—than on typical violence and gore), there remained strands of two journeys we’ve followed along this season, those of Historia and Eren. Ymir’s past as an orphan used… Read More Attack on Titan, Episode 35: Unlovable Loving the Unlovable

But even worse than the falsehoods I would speak was the one I was living. I put up the facade of a knowledgeable, virtuous, and kind person, though… Read More From Christa to Historia: Take Your Name
