  1. Thank you for this Tanglecast, guys. Thank you SO much for joining us, Macy! Your work is great! I am terribly disappointed I wasn’t even consulted for this, however! 😛
Serial Experiments Lain was the 3rd full anime series I ever owned the full disk set for. It’s one of my favorite animes of all time and was my introduction into Cyberpunk anime. You’re all spot on in your analysis, but I know none of you probably have cyberpunk as your favorite genre, so I’d have loved to chat with you all about how Lain fits into that world. One cool thing about Cyberpunk is its predictive capacity in where it goes right and wrong in forecasting. There’s so much I’d love to share that wouldn’t be condensed enough for a comment section. Suffice is to say loved this episode and I’m looking forward to the next one.
