He is risen!
On Beneath the Tangles, we love to talk about the power of storytelling. And on Easter we remember the greatest story—a true one about one who was both man and God, who two thousand years ago was executed in humiliation and agony. From the outside, it looked like the end of that story.
But it wasn’t.
If you’ve ever watched My Last Day, you know how it frames that moment—not from the powerful, not from the faithful, but from the broken. From our perspective, of one who deserves the cross, but through Jesus, is given mercy.
That’s the scandal and beauty of Easter.
It isn’t just that Jesus rose. It’s that he invites us with him.
Not the polished version of us. Not the “I’ve got it all together” version—but the real one. That genuine us. The one who doubts, who fails, who wonders if it’s too late. Just like the thief.
On this Easter Sunday, we encourage you to turn to Jesus, as the thief did. If you’ve done it a thousand times, I hope you’ll still find that wonder in his grace this Easter. And if you never have before, I hope you’ll step into a good church today and discover more about why He is so good, and maybe connect to us on Discord where we try to live out that goodness in our own (digital) lives.
God bless you, and Happy Easter.
