It’s March 9th, and you know that means—It’s Miku Day!
If you’re unaware, the fandom celebrates it as such because in Japanese, 3 can be pronouned as mi and 9 as ku, and those numbers can also be pronounced as san and kyou, or sankyou (thank you). Thus, 39 is for thanking the anime-styled Vocaloid icon!
There’s so much lovely art that posts this day—here’s a sample for Miku holding Miku walking by Miku (Miku x 3!), and we’ll follow up with one more piece during our Fanart Friday as well!

Beautiful fanart, though why is Miku holding Miku? It reminded me of the sculpture of Michelangelo’s, the Pieta
Yeah it reminds me of the same. I think I’ve seen some fanart imitating the Pieta before—this one could be purposeful, too.
